Introduction:
King Ceasor University (KCU) is located in Bunga, Kampala District, and granted accreditation
status by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) on 26 th September 2011. The
institution is set to start teaching Diploma in Laboratory Technology including many other
courses. KCU has since grown to one of Uganda’s biggest and best medical training University
in Uganda. It’s now in the process of obtaining a Charter and becoming the first Medical
University in Africa with moral rearmament by 2028.
Job details
The University is seeking internally enthusiastic and experienced individuals to fill the following
positions:
- Teaching Assistants (2 positions)
- Assistant Lecturers (2 positions)
- Lecturers (2 positions)
- Senior Lecturers (2 positions)
- Associate Professor (2 positions)
- Full Professor (2 positions)
Duties and Responsibilities for the above posts:
- Prepares well-researched lectures and delivers them to undergraduate students
- Sets tests, examinations and course work
- Administers and invigilates tests and examinations.
- Marks tests, course work and examinations scripts, compiles and grades examination
- results.
- Guides and advises students on their academic performance.
- Conducts research and disseminates research findings through conferences, seminars and
- publications.
- Supervises undergraduate students undertaking research projects.
- Conducts seminars and tutorials.
- Take administrative duties in the department as directed by the Head of Department.
- Contributes to the University and wider society through community service.
Qualifications:
Interested Applicants should have a combination of the following qualifications;
- Certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology or Medical Laboratory Science or Biomedical
- laboratory technology
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or Medical Laboratory Science or Biomedical
- laboratory technology
- Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Medical Laboratory Science or
- Biomedical laboratory technology.
- Master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Medical Laboratory Science or
- Biomedical laboratory technology with knowledge in Clinical Chemistry or
- Microbiology and immunology or Biochemistry or hematology or histology and
- Histopathology or parasitology and Entomology or pharmacology or Physiology
- Should have at least three (2) years teaching experience
- Having knowledge and experience in writing Fundable Research grants proposal is an
- added advantage.
- Demonstrate computer literacy.
- PhD in Medical Laboratory Technology or Medical Laboratory Science or Biomedical
- laboratory technology
