Job Summary

Position: Professor
Reports to: Reports to Dean of School
Others: Submits specified written reports whenever they are due.

Requirements / Qualifications

1. PhD in a relevant discipline
2. Must be at the minimum level of Associate
   Professor with at least ten years of teaching
   experience in a recognised University/Institution
3. At least Ten publications in area of specialisation
4. Academic / Administrative Experience
5. Should have won at least two grants
6. Should have supervised seven (7) graduate
   students to completion, two of which must be at
   PhD level.
7. ICT Skills
8. Integrity & Leadership skills
9. Should have contributed to community service

Responsibilities

1. Supervise Postgraduate Research for  students
2. Conduct Research
3. Deliver scheduled and special lectures
4. Write Proposals for funding Research Projects
5. Manage special Academic Assignments
6. Initiation and promotion of innovations in ones area of
   specialization
