Law Students Honoured for Outstanding Performance in Regional Moot & Debate Competitions

King Ceasor University Law students and their coach this week paid a courtesy visit to the Vice Chancellor to present awards, certificates and books won at prestigious regional legal competitions.

Ahura Precious and Ayebazibwe Hillary represented Uganda at the 2025 Great Lakes Moot Competition in International Humanitarian Law hosted at Strathmore University in Nairobi, Kenya, from 25th–30th August 2025. The team emerged as the Best Female Team, demonstrating outstanding advocacy and research skills.

The university’s debate team, comprising Kyoshabire Macklean, Nuwamanya Ignatius and Nyamwija Connie also excelled at the 3rd Edition of the Centre for African Justice, Peace and Human Rights (CAJPHR) Legal Debate held on 13th September 2025. Nyamwija Connie was recognised as the Best Debater in Africa.

Receiving the awards, the Vice Chancellor commended the students for representing the university with distinction and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to supporting practical legal training and academic excellence. Speaking on behalf of the students, Ahura expressed gratitude to the university administration for its unwavering support and noted that the recognition serves as motivation to continue striving for excellence in future competitions
