Be Exceptional
Make Yourself Successful in Your Studies
Be Exceptional
Everyone in the world has above-average strength in some specific areas. If for example, you are not a talented singer, actor, or artist, you may be a good observer, excellent listener, or organized person. Discover the areas where you are competent and use them to make yourself successful in your studies.
Remember, the areas where you are strong is what makes you unique, exceptional, and special. It is God-given and no one can ever take it from you. This is the reason why I say to you that you have to identify your competence or what you may call your strengths to become successful. If am to ask you again. Are you well-organized, patient, persistent, outgoing, intelligent, brave, fast-learner, talented, or open-minded…?
Find out if you fall in any of these categories if you cannot do this by yourself. Just ask your friends, relatives or other people you keep with. You may be surprised that one of these good strengths you had never thought about is among those I have mentioned.
Once you have identified areas where you are exceptional, select what could support you become successful during your studies. Besides your strengths, identify also some areas where you are weak. These are what we call your weaknesses.
Weaknesses are the things that you need to avoid doing. For example, if your strengths are that you are a well-organized, patient, persistent, outgoing, intelligent, brave, fast learner,
talented, open-minded person then being the opposite are your weaknesses.
Weaknesses are the things you need to stop doing. Write down at least 5 things that you need to avoid doing.
Brian Tracy, one of the famous writers once said; for everything you want in this life, there is a price you must pay, in full or in advance. He literally meant; to achieve something you have never achieved before – you must do something you have never done before. He also said that if you want to become successful, you have to pay a price measured in terms of sacrifice, time, effort and personal discipline. So, decide what you have to pay and start paying this price now.
