Professor – School of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences
Job Summary
Position: Professor
Reports to: Reports to Dean of School
Others: Submits specified written reports whenever they are due.
Requirements / Qualifications
- PhD in a relevant discipline
- Must be at the minimum level of Associate Professor with at least ten years of teaching experience in a recognised University/Institution
- At least Ten publications in area of specialisation
- Academic / Administrative Experience
- Should have won at least two grants
- Should have supervised seven (7) graduate students to completion, two of which must be at PhD level.
- ICT Skills
- Integrity & Leadership skills
- Should have contributed to community service
Responsibilities
- Supervise Postgraduate Research for students
- Conduct Research
- Deliver scheduled and special lectures
- Write Proposals for funding Research Projects
- Manage special Academic Assignments
- Initiation and promotion of innovations in one’s area of
specialization
Associate Professor – School of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences

- Must be at the minimum level of Senior Lecturer with at least eight years of teaching experience in a recognised University/Institution
- Academic Administrative Experience
- Should have won at least one grant
- Should have supervised four (4) graduate students to completion, one of which must be at PhD level.

- Should have contributed to community service
