KCU staff under go Three-Day Workshop on Competence-Based Education and Training (CBET)

From April 14, King Ceasor University conducted a three-day Workshop on Competence-Based Education and Training (CBET) in the Main Boardroom, bringing together staff from different schools for a series of focused and practical sessions.
Day 1 featured staff from the School of Science, Computing and Engineering, where the workshop introduced key CBET concepts and explored practical, skills-oriented teaching approaches aligned with modern education standards. Discussions and activities focused on enhancing lesson delivery, improving student engagement, and fostering competency-driven learning outcomes.
Day 2 continued with staff from the School of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences, with emphasis on applying CBET principles within health-related disciplines. Participants explored learner-centered approaches, curriculum alignment, and strategies for integrating real-world practice into teaching and assessment.
Day 3 (Final Day) engaged staff from the School of Law and Business, focusing on case-based learning, critical thinking, and practical application of knowledge in professional contexts. The session also highlighted innovative assessment methods and approaches to strengthening student engagement.
The workshop was facilitated by Mr. Tumwizere Godfrey and Mr. JohnBosco Kwesiga, Competence-Based Education Consultants, who guided participants through interactive discussions and hands-on sessions throughout the program.
The successful completion of this three-day workshop underscores the University’s continued commitment to strengthening teaching excellence and equipping its staff with relevant, real-world instructional strategies across all disciplines.
