Directorate of Quality Assurance and Control conducts peer to peer review training

The Directorate of Quality Assurance and Control organized a Peer-to-Peer review training for staff aimed at enhancing their teaching techniques as a commitment to quality education. The event opened with warm and inspiring remarks from the Vice-Chancellor, who welcomed participants and emphasized the importance of collaboration and continuous improvement in academia. Following the Vice-Chancellor’s introduction, the day’s discussion was led by Assoc. Prof. Annabella Habinka Ejiri, Director of Quality Assurance and Control. Dr. Annabella began by warmly welcoming all members and proceeded to highlight the key objectives of the University’s Quality Assurance (QA) system, emphasizing its core values. In her presentation, she shared a brief history of mentorship, urging participants to take full advantage of the mentors available at their disposable within the university. She underscored the significance of proper preparation in teaching and challenged educators to be unique and inventive in their approaches.Throughout the session, Dr. Annabella equipped attendees with essential ethics and techniques necessary for effective teaching. She emphasized the importance of proper orientation of students, urging members to ensure that students are well-guided and supported from the beginning of their academic journey.
